“At GDC I had like developers and players and even the people we’re interviewing like being so nice, like being so, I think grateful is the word I’d use, which is like flabbergasting to me. Like, we were interviewing people and they were like happy we were doing this.” – Danny O’Dwyer from his vlog about Noclip’s first six months.

Left Behind Live Stream- 03/04/14 Details

Welcome! Wow, this is the first post of 2014. I’m sorry if this seems a little late, but I have such exciting news! Go Left Gaming has been pushing the multimedia aspect of journalism on its YouTube and Twitch channels. Content includes weekly vlogs, live streams, and walk through videos. It’s super exciting to be creating the content and learning about this aspect of the industry. As a part of this multimedia push, Go Left Gaming is hosting a live stream of The Last Of Us‘ DLC, Left Behind and the factions multiplayer mode!

Left_Behind

The stream will be held on March 4, 2014 at 6:00 PM EST! That is when I will start the Left Behind DLC from start to finish with all the collectibles and conversations. This will be a ton of fun. A little bit before and for quite some time after the DLC, I will play The Last Of Us online multiplayer.

Also, as a part of the stream, to share my love of The Last Of Us and it’s brand new DLC there will be a giveaway! A total of three prizes will be given away! There are-

1) The entire American Dreams prequel comic series (4 issues in total)

2) The Left Behind DLC

and the grand prize-

3)  The Last Of Us season pass (which includes Left Behind, all the multiplayer DLC, and the documentary) AND the American Dreams prequel comic series

How the winners will be decided and the details of the contest will be set in concrete at a later time, but those are the prizes!

You can RSVP for the event on our Facebook page or just click here! Hope to see you on March 4, 2014 at 6:00 PM EST on Go Left Gaming’s Twitch channel for Left Behind!

New vlog series

Have your heard the news? No? That’s what this post is all about. Here at Go Left Gaming, I have decide to start a weekly vlog over on Go Left Gaming’s YouTube channel. Not only will  this allow me to tackle gaming news and topics I may not write about, the vlog will also help me practice my camera time skills and become comfortable discussing topics, both in video and audio formats. These are the baby steps toward something bigger and better. I hope you enjoy them and you can watch them all over on Go Left Gaming’s YouTube channel. I will also try to create a page here on the website to host all the videos so that they are in one, convenient place. Go check them out and always remember, go left!

Grounded: The Making of The Last Of Us

A few months before the launch of The Last Of Us, Naughty Dog announced that the game would be getting DLC, both single player and multiplayer. As the norm, a season pass was announced alongside for a mere $19.99. Included with the season pass was Day 1 DLC, which included-

Day 1 Bonuses

  • Increased Crafting Speed
  • Increased Healing Speed
  • 9mm Reload Speed Upgrade
  • Rifle Clip Capacity Upgrade
  • Grounded – exclusive 90min “Making of The Last of Us” documentary

That last item, the documentary, was something I totally spaced about by the time launch came around. I stumbled across a Twitter post mentioning the documentary, so I googled and was reminded that the film was included with my purchase. I logged onto PSN in hopes of finding it in my purchases, but to no avail. I searched all over, both the store and the internet, but could not find the documentary. Finally I asked the Podcast Beyond Facebook group and they came to my aid. I decided to take this opportunity and make a video showing you how to download the Grounded: Making of The Last Of Us documentary. Not only will this video help you, but it has helped me with video editing and becoming comfortable with my “radio” voice. One step closer to providing you with better content! Thank you for watching and enjoy!
